The meaningful meeting held today at Shakarim University can be called a bright manifestation of spiritual and intellectual harmony. The delegation headed by the Deputy Ambassador of the European Union Representation in Kazakhstan Aaro Ilitalo included diplomatic representatives of Portugal, Latvia, Sweden, Belgium, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany and other EU member states.

Beyimbet Darbayev, vice-rector for academic affairs of the university, warmly welcomed the guests. In his speech, he focused extensively on the history of the university's formation, structural system, scientific achievements and international relations. He noted that Shakarim University today offers a complete education system from college to bachelor's, master's, doctoral and post-doctoral studies, and the educational institution has established close cooperation with more than 60 universities of the USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Japan, Turkey and other 37 countries of the world.

In turn, Aaro Ilitalo emphasized the importance of visiting the regions, not just the capital, to get to know Kazakhstan better. He spoke about the delegation's visit to the Abay Museum and said that they had the opportunity to get to know the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people.

"Although we work in Astana, it is very important to visit its regions to get to know Kazakhstan better. Today we went to the Abay Museum and learned a lot about the history and culture of the country. Such meetings increase our mutual understanding," he said. In addition, they expressed their desire to get more information about the humanitarian values ​​of Kazakhstan and its role in the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.

He also touched on cooperation in the field of education and science:

Strong relations have been established between the European Union and Kazakhstan within the framework of the "Erasmus+" and "Horizon Europe" programs. We are also ready to offer a number of opportunities from the European Union. I believe that this partnership will open the way to new opportunities in the future," said Aaro Ilitalo.

During the meeting, it was said that these programs provide young scientists and students with a wide opportunity to exchange international experience and increase their scientific potential.

Young scientists asked their questions and received meaningful and comprehensive answers from diplomats. It is clear that this meeting, held in the form of a free exchange of views, deepened the mutual understanding of both parties and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.

At the end of the visit, the distinguished guests visited the Shakarim museum near the university and got acquainted with the life and work of the great thinker Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly. The deep philosophical legacy of the Field Sage left a special impression on the guests.

Thus, this meeting held at Shakarim University was remembered as an educational meeting that united knowledge and culture, strengthened friendship and mutual trust between countries.
