Language is one of the greatest values of human civilization. It preserves the historical memory of the nation, continues the succession of generations, shows the worldview and spiritual nature of the people. Therefore, respecting the language is not only an appreciation of the past, but also a sense of responsibility for the future.
The Day of the Languages of the People of Kazakhstan is an educational holiday that glorifies the respect for the languages and cultures of ethnic groups in the country, and strengthens the values of social harmony and mutual understanding. Each language is an expression of the history, culture, traditions and spiritual world of a certain people. To preserve this diversity is to preserve the country's wealth.
Also, this holiday is an important day that allows one to deeply feel the place and responsibility of the state language in society. Kazakh language is the state language of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a common value that unites the socio-political, cultural and scientific space of the country. Increasing its status, expanding the scope of its application and instilling it into the minds of the next generation is a common task not only of the state, but of every citizen.
The language issue is of particular importance for today's university. Because the space of higher education is a meeting place of scientific thought and new ideas, cultures and attitudes. The development of science, quality education, professional training processes are all directly related to language. An educated generation that has a deep knowledge of the mother tongue, respects and freely learns other languages is an important basis of the country's intellectual potential. September 5 is the date of birth of Akhmet Baitursynuly, a scientist, educator, teacher, literary critic, reformer of national writing, who founded Kazakh language education.
Akhmet Baitursynuly's whole life was dedicated to preserving the language and spirituality of the Kazakh people, enlightening and forming national consciousness. The scientist's work "Language is a tool" took a special place in the formation of the scientific system of Kazakh language education. He not only systematized the grammatical structure of the Kazakh language, but also laid the foundation for many scientific terms that are still in use today. Names in linguistics such as noun, adjective, verb, pronoun, initial, narrative, simple sentence, compound sentence are part of the scientist's immeasurable contribution to Kazakh science. Through these works, Akhmet Baitursynuly served to establish the Kazakh language not only as a means of communication, but as the spiritual foundation of the nation, the language of science and education.
The legacy of the teacher of the nation entrusts us with one important truth: the future of the language is determined not only by how much we love it, but also by how well we use it in everyday life, education, science and professional environment.
Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokaev: "Kazakh language is the soul of Kazakh!" The history and destiny of our people is in the language. It was said that culture and literature, language and religion are in the language.
Therefore, the Day of Languages is not only a day to pay homage to the past, but also a day to guide the future. On this day, we once again feel the need to increase our respect for our mother tongue and contribute to the development of the state language.
Works aimed at strengthening the continuity of language and science, education and national values in our university will continue in the future. Forming the love of language among young people, expanding the scientific and professional use of the Kazakh language, developing a multilingual educational environment is one of the important tasks of the educational institution.
Language is the spiritual support not only of the nation, but of the whole country. If our language is stable, our spirit will be high, our unity will be strong, and our future will be bright.
