Seminar for increasing scientific achievements

At Shakarim University's Research School of Food Engineering, a scientific seminar aimed at developing the activity of publishing articles and improving the quality of preparation of research projects was held for young scientists, masters and doctoral students.

Candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Zh. Kh. Kakimova explained in detail "Practical ways of preparing competitive applications for grant funding of scientific research", PhD, senior teacher-researcher A. O. Utegenova covered the topic of "Searching, selecting and publishing scientific journals in Scopus and Web of Science international databases" and provided a lot of information to young researchers.

PhD, senior lecturer-researcher A. E. Bepeeva discussed the topic "Web of Science as a tool for analysis and development of scientific research".

During the seminar, particularly relevant and practice-oriented topics were discussed. The participants learned how to correctly structure the structure of grant applications, the issues that experts pay attention to when evaluating projects, and mechanisms to increase the possibility of obtaining funding.

At today's event special attention was paid to actual issues of publication activity. Scientists have explained in detail how to choose a reliable scientific journal, how to protect against the tricks of "predatory" publications, and how to successfully publish in the prestigious Scopus and Web of Science international databases.
