Project Leader

Dyussekeneva Indira, PhD

Relevance

Universities worldwide, including those in Kazakhstan, are striving for internationalization to seize numerous opportunities for academic collaboration and knowledge exchange. However, the issue of teaching academic research writing skills in English presents challenges for both educators and students, due to a lack of specialized personnel and developed methodologies for teaching academic writing in English.

In this regard, developing a methodology for fostering foreign language academic writing competence in English becomes especially relevant. The effective implementation of this project will be supported by the use of electronic educational resources, enabling a rich immersive environment for participants in the educational process.

Goal

The project's goal is to develop teaching and methodological support for cultivating academic writing skills in English using electronic educational resources within the context of higher education in Kazakhstan.

The research outcomes will include the publication of scientific articles, a monograph, and teaching materials, as well as presentations at conferences. The following will be published:

A collection of test tasks for academic writing in English;
Textbooks on academic writing in English.
Electronic educational resources, video courses, and a training course for teaching academic writing in English will also be developed.
