AP22685400 "Development and testing of an endovideovaginoscope for artificial insemination and diagnosis of diseases of the genitals of cows and sheep"
Project Leader
Muratbayev Dauletbek Manatbekovich, аcting Associate Professor, PhD
Relevance
The main idea of the project is to improve existing technologies used in obstetric and gynecological medical examination and artificial insemination of cows and sheep. The introduction of an innovative digital device will allow veterinary and agricultural specialists to work effectively in the field of animal reproduction. The concept of the project is to create a device that will use the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of digital and medical technologies. The development of a new device proposed as part of the project will improve the processes of reproduction of cattle and small livestock, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of this work.
Goal
The goal of this project is to develop and test a visual system, including hardware and software, for artificial insemination and diagnosis of diseases of the genital organs of cows and sheep.
Expected Result
Expectation results:
1. Designing a working prototype of the device: As part of the project, a prototype of the device will be developed and tested, which will be used to diagnose the condition of the genital organs of animals and carry out artificial insemination.
2. Finalization of the prototype based on clinical trials: After creating the prototype, tests will be carried out in veterinary clinics to evaluate its effectiveness and diagnostic accuracy. The test results will help determine the necessary modifications and improvements to strengthen work performance.
3. Testing the prototype in farm conditions: After finalizing the prototype, it will be tested in real farm conditions. This will allow you to evaluate its performance and efficiency in practice.
4. Filing a patent application: Once the development of the prototype is completed and its effectiveness is confirmed, a patent application for this technology will befiled. This will protect the intellectual property of the project and ensure that it can be used by commercial enterprises.
5. Development of the final technological version: Based on the test results and improvements to the prototype, the final version of the device will be developed, which will be completely ready for production and use in practice.
Achieved Result
Production trials of the prototype were conducted on cows within peasant farms in the Abai region. To carry out the research, over 300 Kazakh White-headed cows were preliminarily examined. Based on the data obtained, control and experimental groups of animals were formed. During the trials, 200 cows were inseminated. Based on the results of the work, insemination and rectal examination reports were compiled. Furthermore, during the production trials, the prototype itself and the syringe-catheter were modernized, which enhanced the device's usability and functional characteristics.
Production trials of the prototype were also conducted on ewes in peasant farms in the Abai region. Ewes exhibiting estrus were selected for the trials. To ensure timely identification of such animals, a daily check of the livestock was organized using teaser rams equipped with special aprons. The identified ewes were inseminated using an endovideovaginoscope. During the trials, the prototype demonstrated high efficiency and ease of use, providing clear visualization and consistent insemination results. Following the completion of the work, the device confirmed its practical applicability in farm conditions.
A complete documentation package for the clinical and production trials of the prototypes has been compiled. The conducted studies confirmed the operational capacity and reliability of the developed devices. Based on the trial results, reliable data were obtained confirming that the prototypes meet the stated technical specifications. The devices demonstrated stable performance, ease of operation, and high efficiency when used in clinical and production environments. The collected documentation includes trial results in the form of insemination reports, rectal examination protocols, as well as photo and video materials documenting the trial process and results.
