Relevance

The project explores literary relics of the Alash period of the history of Kazakh literature of the early twentieth century. While the idea of Alash is recognized as an important element of national ideology and is promoted as a symbol of statehood and nationalism, it is necessary to determine how generations today relate to mountain personalities committed to the Alash movement. There is also reason to believe that the results of the study are particularly relevant in determining the realities of time, epoch, historical and social moments, socio-economic conditions during the national liberation movement of Alash. Conducting research based on the memories of the descendants of Alash will be very effective in achieving systematic, compact and concrete results of work.

We also say that the results of the study are especially relevant in determining the genre specifics and artistic-ideological and thematic differences of Alash's memoir, content-formal transformation, the image of аrys in documentary and fiction prose, as well as in determining the orientation of the development of the idea, the movement of Alash in interethnic, interethnic relations and world civilization.

Goal

Determine from the point of view of today and compare the memories of the descendants of Alash, describing the real history of the Alash period, describing the realities of time, the breath of the era.

Expected Result

Generalization and systematization of scientific monographs and articles, works published in other countries concerning the life path and activities of creative individuals who took part in the Alash movement, who gave their lives along this path. Publication of works based on documentary prose about people of the nation, an anthology of memoirs and development of electronic versions. In addition, interviews will be recorded with scientists and local historians,historians and literary scholars talking about the realities of the Alash period, and content for short videos will be prepared. Preparation of a monograph where the share of a postdoctoral fellow who has undergone peer review of virgin, sensational data recognized as significant for Kazakh science, with familiarization with articles and research works in English and submitted for publication by holders of at least two academic titles of professor and/or scientific degree of Doctor of Science, sorting the works related to Alash, at least 1 (one) monograph and the peer-reviewed goal will be to develop 5 (five) articles in foreign and (or) domestic publications recommended by KOKSNVO. In accordance with the terms of the project, the postdoctoral fellow will defend a doctoral dissertation based on the results of the project in the first year of the project.

Achieved Result

As part of the project theme, a manuscript of an anthological collection (supplementary teaching aid) consisting of 240 pages has been developed, featuring the memoirs of Alash intellectuals and their descendants. Reviewers' feedback has been obtained, and the process of securing copyright and an ISBN number is currently underway.

The dissertation defense in the specialty 6D02314 – "Literary Studies" is scheduled for October 2025 before the Dissertation Council of the Faculty of Philology at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. All preparatory activities are currently in progress.

A scientific article titled "A Scholarly Study of the Life and Intellectual Legacy of Alash Figure Baibatur Erzhanuly", which examines the memoirs of Alash figure Baibatur Erzhanuly through the lens of colonial and postcolonial discourse, has been submitted to Issue No. 3 of the Philological Bulletin (Philology Khabarshysy) journal of the Eurasian Humanitarian Institute.

In accordance with the calendar plan, the article published in foreign scientific journals indexed in the Scopus, WoS databases and articles published in domestic publications recommended by the SCSCC are published in full.

The results obtained in a comprehensive study of memoir works in the literature of the Alash period from the point of view of literary studies, literary theory, were published as 1 article in the domestic publication recommended by the state educational standard.
