Shakarim Higher College Opened Its Doors to 600 Freshmen

On September 1, Shakarim Higher College celebrated Knowledge Day in grand style. The ceremony was attended by college administrators, faculty members, this year’s high school graduates who had been admitted to the college, and their parents.

The festive assembly began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Shakarim University Rector Duman Orynbekov delivered a welcoming speech and congratulated everyone present on the start of the academic year.

“Dear freshmen! Esteemed parents and colleagues! This year, more than 600 students have been enrolled at Shakarim Higher College. This is clear evidence that we have achieved the highest enrollment figure in the college’s history. Today, more than 1,300 future professionals are studying here in 14 fields that are in high demand in the labor market. Above all, this reflects the trust placed in us by parents and young people, and it is a great responsibility for us. In this regard, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to College Director Tota Tleulesovna and her team,” said Duman Rymgaliuly.

The rector also emphasized that the college is an integral part of Shakarim University. He noted that all conditions have been created for motivated young people to continue their studies at the university, work in laboratories, participate in research projects, and master modern technologies.
