A meeting with representatives of the national coalition was held at Shakarim University
"For a just and progressive People's Constitution of Kazakhstan!" members of the national coalition met with young students of higher educational institutions of Abay region. An important meeting was held on the square of Shakarim University.
The meeting was attended by Zhuldyz Suleymenova, Nartai Sarsengaliyev and Olzhas Suleymen, a member of the Council on Youth Policy under the President, who gave a comprehensive explanation of the changes and additions to the Constitution.
First, university rector Duman Orynbekov introduced the distinguished guests and emphasized the importance of the meeting. In his speech, he noted that the constitutional referendum is a historical period that directly affects the future of the country. In addition, he thanked the members of the coalition who made a special visit to Abay region and gave an opportunity to exchange opinions with young people in a free format.
- Dear young people, it is a great opportunity to meet people who have experience in state management and contribute to the development of society. The draft of the new Constitution not only defines modern public values and principles of state policy, but also lays a solid foundation for the long-term development of the country,- said the rector.
Zhuldyz Suleymenova, who was the first to speak, focused on a number of important aspects of the draft new Constitution. According to him, one of the main values of the document is priority given to education and human capital.
- In the new Constitution, the state defines investment in human capital, education and science as a strategic direction. This is the main mechanism of the country's development. Therefore, these changes are very important for students, teachers, and parents,- said the minister.
In addition, he noted that primary and secondary education is free and guaranteed by the state. Apart from that, the document stated that the norms in the direction of strengthening the family institution, marriage issues, as well as environmental protection were strengthened.
In his turn, Nartai Sarsengaliyev focused on the opportunities provided by the Constitution for the society. He noted that the main principles of constitutional changes are justice, transparency and protection of citizens' rights.
– Digital technologies are rapidly developing. In this regard, the issue of protection of personal data of citizens in the digital space is also considered at the level of the Constitution. In addition, providing some regions with a special legal regime will open the way to new opportunities in terms of economic development, he said.
During the meeting, students asked their questions and exchanged opinions in an open dialogue format. Young people expressed their thoughts about the impact of constitutional changes on the country's development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants noted that the draft of the New Constitution is an important step towards the formation of a just, democratic and progressive Kazakhstan.
