Kanat Ospanov, Deputy Head of the Department of Judicial Administration for the city of Astana: Public service begins with values and meaning
Value, maturity, service - three words with which Kanat Ospanov, deputy head of the Department of Judicial Administration for the city of Astana, began his speech. He emphasized: public service should be based not only on professional skills, but also on the inner core of a person - his beliefs, ethics, ability to take responsibility.
The focus was on the pilot project “Elordaga Zhol”, implemented jointly with the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its goal is to involve legal graduates in the activities of the capital’s judicial system. Young lawyers are given the opportunity to undergo an internship with practicing judges in Astana and begin a career in the justice system.
“We don’t just offer jobs,” he emphasized. -We are forming a new generation of employees who have not only legal literacy, but also a moral guideline. In this context, the Tolyk Adam philosophy ceases to be a theory - it becomes a personnel strategy.”
Forum participants, especially law students, highly appreciated the project, calling it a real platform for an informed professional start and one of the most applied cases on the forum.
Kanat Ospanov’s speech itself was made within the framework of the Republican Youth Forum “Abaidyn Tolyk Adam Ilimi: Ulttyk Kundylyktar Men Zamanaui Kozkaras”, which was held on May 23–24 at Shakarim University and brought together representatives of more than 70 universities in the country. The forum became a place where philosophy, education and practical initiatives merged into a single agenda for the future.
