Scientific advice: success is weighed and the next day is determined

On June 25, another meeting of the Scientific Council of Shakarim University was held. The chairman of the board - rector Duman Orynbekov opened the work of the council and began his speech with a significant news in the life of the university. According to the results of the international Times Higher Education Sustainability Rankings 2026 published on June 24, Shakarim University was among the top 10 universities of the country. The rector assessed this success as a joint success of the university team and congratulated his colleagues.

Erasyl Dulatbay, vice-rector for internationalization and innovation, made a report on "International cooperation and internationalization of university activities" at the meeting. He gave comprehensive information about the activities of the university in the direction of development of international relations and the activities of the International Cooperation Center.

In the course of the report, indicators of the implementation of the strategic plan, partnership relations with foreign higher educational institutions and scientific organizations, academic mobility programs, international projects and achievements of the university in world rankings were widely discussed. At the same time, a number of recommendations aimed at increasing the influence at the international level and strengthening the position of the university in the global educational space were put forward.

Next, the Head of the Registration Office, Ainash Ospanova, who gave a report on the topic of "2025-2026 academic year summer exam session" made a comprehensive analysis of academic progress indicators, intermediate and final certification results, exam results and educational achievements of students. At the same time, the main tasks and directions of development for the 2026-2027 academic year were determined, and proposals aimed at improving the quality of education were considered.

Scientist-secretary Almagul Nurgazezova gave a speech on the next issue on the agenda of the Scientific Council and detailed the implementation of the decisions of the Scientific Council made in the 2025-2026 academic year. He distinguished the results of the work done and presented the priority areas and tasks to be implemented in the coming 2026-2027 academic year. He also presented a number of proposals aimed at increasing the efficiency of the university's activities.

The session of the Scientific Council was followed by the ceremony of awarding university employees, and the work of teachers and specialists who made a significant contribution to the development of education and science was duly appreciated.

Vice-rector for academic affairs Beyimbet Serikuly Daryabaev, teacher of the department of Kazakh philology Toleugazy Kametayuly Mursalimov, chief specialist of the Center for Social Support and Development of Youth Liza Arnoldovna Gotman and head of the Personnel Development Support Department Ainur Valerievna Rakhimberdieva were awarded the badge "For contribution to the development of the mother tongue" of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Meruert Rahymbekovna Tusipova, chief specialist of the document circulation and archive department, received the thanks of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Rector's advisor Kenzhekhan Karimuly Nakishev and senior lecturer of the "Economics and Finance" department Shynar Dalelelovna Zhailaubayeva were awarded one of the highest awards of the university - the "Shakarim" medal, and the leading accountant of the accounting department, Nazym Kazhibayovna Kazhibayeva was awarded with the commemorative medal for the 90th anniversary of Shaim University. Aleksey Nikolayevich Klivenko, head of the Radioecological Scientific Research Center, received a certificate and letter of appreciation from the UNEVOC Center of the Bashkir Institute of Social Technologies of the Russian Federation.

The awardees were honored and their contribution to the development of the university, the development of education and science was highlighted.
