Volunteering is the best way to serve the country
On the walls of Shakarim University "Leaders: It is our duty to be a patriot!" regional forum of the best volunteer groups was held. The large-scale event was jointly organized by Shakarim University and the regional scientific-methodical "Daryn" center for the development of talent and additional education of the Abay Region Education Department. University students and active representatives of volunteer organizations of schools in Abay region participated in the forum and shared ideas about common ideas and good initiatives.
The forum was opened by Zhadyra Nyazbekova, the director of the "Daryn" center, who noted that this meeting is an important platform where the most active and enterprising young people of the region come together. "Our goal is to get acquainted with the work of volunteers who contribute to society through your projects. "Volunteering is not only providing help, it is serving the Motherland, showing sympathy for the country," he said. In addition, in connection with the declaration of this year as the "Year of Volunteers", it is important to support the initiatives of young people and increase their ranks.
Head of Shakarim University Youth Social Support and Development Center Araylim Orazgalieva said that she was happy to see young volunteers in the university house with a ninety-year history, emphasizing that the meaning of volunteering is kindness and compassion. "Volunteer is a person who benefits the society on his own free will. Only a kind person can be truly caring. It is pleasing that young people with artistic character like you are growing in our region," he said.
Within the forum, the speaker of the Student Parliament of Shakarim University, Ahmet Esenbek, made a report on "Volunteer movement of Shakarim University: experience and results" and presented the projects and concrete results of the organization of volunteers in the educational institution. Initiatives of university youth in the social, environmental and charitable direction clearly showed their active citizenship position.
Edil Token, an 11th-grade student of Ybyray Altynsarin Gymnasium No. 37, gave a speech on the topic "Personal development - community development" and noted that volunteering contributes to self-improvement of young people and the formation of leadership qualities. In his opinion, changing society starts with each person.
The forum was not only a platform for exchanging experiences, but also an educational meeting that strengthened the national spirit. Being a patriot is a quality that is proven by deeds, not words. And voluntariness is a bright manifestation of that quality.
