Achieved Result

- As a result of the research, a specialized database of Shakarim’s heritage was created. Based on this database, a chronological map was developed.

In accordance with this section of the calendar plan, the project executors conducted research trips to the National Academy of Sciences Library in Astana, the National Library in Almaty, and the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Arts to collect materials. Bibliographic and thematic indexes were compiled on scientific research and publications related to the biography of Shakarim Kudaiberdiev. Additionally, materials from the collection of the Abay Memorial-Reserve Museum in Semey were systematized, and the scientific works collected in the “Abay and National Spirituality” Research Center at Shakarim University were analyzed.

All accessed scientific works were classified and organized, resulting in a manuscript version of a bibliographic index that reflects Shakarim Kudaiberdiev’s life and creative work from philosophical, religious, literary, and historical perspectives. This index organized the history of research on the poet’s legacy by periods and supplemented it with monographs, articles, conference materials, encyclopedic and reference publications, and other scholarly works. In addition, the content of serial scientific collections, conference proceedings, biographical encyclopedias, and works from the “Shakarim World” series were analyzed, providing a complete list of sources in scientific circulation to date. Biographical studies and works based on archival materials, including manuscripts and historical documents that reveal Shakarim’s life path and creative evolution, were categorized separately. Research in literary-cultural, historical-ethnographic, geographical, and linguistic directions was classified under separate headings, highlighting the main scientific directions and stages of Shakarim studies. References to archival data, manuscripts, and audio-video materials used in the research were recorded as comprehensively as possible, creating a reference database for working with these sources.

As a result, a structured manuscript version of a bibliographic index was created for Shakarim Kudaiberdiev’s biography, creative legacy, and comprehensive study. This collection served as a database supporting deeper archival research during the project’s research phase and facilitated the preparation of literature reviews and analytical studies in Shakarim studies.

Based on this bibliographic index, a digital scientific-reference chronological map titled “Life and Creative Work of Shakarim Kudaiberdiev: Chronological Map” was developed. This product systematized and classified Shakarim Kudaiberdiev’s biography and creative legacy in chronological order, serving as a fundamental database for Shakarim studies. The chronological map presents 48 poetry collections, 3 poems, 5 translations, 6 prose works, 24 articles, as well as works such as “Turk, Kyrgyz, Kazakh and Khans’ Genealogies”, “Three Evidences”, “Book of Islam”, along with his songs and kyuis in chronological order. The classification was carried out based on collecting, systematizing, and analyzing all scholarly research on Shakarim studies from the first publication in 1911 up to the latest research article by A. Smagulova in 2025.

- Two articles were published in journals included in the list of the SHEQAC of MSHE of RK

In accordance with this section of the calendar plan, the project executors conducted an in-depth scientific analysis of materials collected from scientific databases and publications related to the heritage of Shakarim Kudaiberdiev. Specifically, the historical, cultural, social, and public characteristics of the period in which the poet lived were analyzed in parallel with the works and thoughts of his contemporaries. Based on this, the project executor submitted an article titled “The Depiction of the Famine Tragedy in Yesengali Raushanov’s Poem ‘1932 Year. Kazakhstan’” to a journal included in the SHEQAC of MSHE of RK list, which was published in the Bulletin of the Eurasian Humanities Institute, Philology Series, No. 3.

Additionally, studies on linguistic, linguocognitive, linguocultural, and evaluative semantics in Shakarim’s works were systematically analyzed. The collected materials were aimed at identifying the structural-semantic nature of Shakarim’s language, the manifestation of precedent phenomena, and their connection to national worldview. During the analysis, the content features of linguistic units from Shakarim’s works, evaluative vocabulary, thesaurus-related aspects, and conceptual characteristics were determined. In line with new directions in linguistics, comparative, descriptive, pragmalinguistic, and ethnolinguistic methods used in the articles were fully considered, and their results were incorporated into the analysis.

Based on the collected scientific data, three scholarly articles were prepared and finalized, revealing the linguistic potential of Shakarim’s works and submitted to domestic scientific journals. One article analyzed the linguaxiological nature of evaluative vocabulary in Shakarim’s heritage, the second examined the linguistic representation of precedent phenomena in his works, and the third focused on the thesaurus features of geographical names in Shakarim’s genealogical works. All three articles were formatted in accordance with the technical, structural, and content requirements of journals included in the SHEQAC of MSHE of RK list, underwent peer review, and were submitted for publication. Confirmation documents have been provided.

- Versions of Shakarim’s songs and kyuis (instrumental compositions) preserved in the national database were collected, and works recorded on old tapes in the Abay Museum were digitized.

In accordance with this stage of the work plan, the project team conducted a comprehensive scientific analysis of the historical, cultural, and phonological materials related to Shakarim Kudaiberdiev’s musical heritage preserved in the Abay Museum’s collection. During this work, the musical traditions contemporary to the poet, features of performance schools, and the repertoire of singer-bards of his time were comparatively examined, clarifying the place of Shakarim’s songs within the system of traditional Kazakh music.

The old magnetic tapes (babina) from the Abay Museum’s collection were technically inspected and underwent preliminary restoration procedures. All recordings were digitized using high-quality studio equipment (WAV, FLAC), and individual descriptive records were created for each recording. The digitized materials were systematized according to performance features, melodic structure, textual variants, place, and time of recording, forming a unified electronic archive.

In addition, data were collected regarding the preservation, study, and publication history of Shakarim’s songs from the National Archive, the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, and the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art. Musical scores from the conservatory, variants found in performers’ repertoires, and field expedition materials were compared and analyzed alongside audio recordings from the museum’s collection. According to the folklore and musical database of the Auezov Institute, previous publications of Shakarim’s songs and music-ethnographic data from researchers’ works were thoroughly analyzed and incorporated into a common scientific database.

As a result of the analysis, similarities and differences between performance, textual, and melodic variants of Shakarim’s musical heritage were identified. The tonal-melodic structure of the songs, the variability of their poetic texts, and stylistic features within performance traditions were analyzed, and scientific conclusions were drawn. Based on the collected materials, recommendations were prepared regarding the preservation level of Shakarim’s musical heritage and for future digital restoration work.
