Project Leader
Ushkyn Saidіrakhman, Research Fellow at NJSC «Shakarim University».
Relevance
The outcomes of the project are significant not only for academic research but also for re-evaluating the history of Kazakhstan. The ideas expressed in émigré publications resonate with the current trajectory of the country’s development, enabling a comparative analysis of historical experience with present-day requirements.
At the national level, the project contributes to a deeper understanding of the history of the Kazakh people and to identifying the political and cultural influence of émigré publications. At the international level, its findings highlight the role of émigré press in shaping national ideas and public consciousness, thereby strengthening Kazakhstan’s competitiveness in the field of historical studies.
Overall, the project will foster national identity, enhance public consciousness, and promote Kazakhstan’s cultural and historical heritage worldwide.
Goal
To conduct a comprehensive study of the genesis, evolution, and chronology of the Kazakh émigré press, with the aim of determining its role in the formation of national intellectual discourse. The project will analyze the development trajectory of émigré publications within their historical context and reveal the metamorphosis of their ideological content.
