Every year on the third Sunday of June, Kazakhstan celebrates Medical Worker Day - a professional holiday of people on whom the health, quality of life and well-being of society directly depend.
Medicine has always been and remains one of the most important fields of activity. No technology, no modern equipment can replace the knowledge, experience, professionalism and human involvement of a doctor.
Every day, medical workers make decisions that affect the health, destinies and lives of people. That is why trust in a doctor has been and remains one of the highest forms of public trust.
This profession is of particular importance for the Abay region. Our region knows well the price of human health, knows the price of responsibility for the present and future generations. Therefore, the development of medical education, science and the healthcare system is not only a professional task, but also an important part of the sustainable development of the region.
I express special gratitude to the medical team of Shakarim University. For our university, you are not just medical workers, but people who are trusted every day with the most valuable thing - health. Your professionalism, attentive attitude towards patients, willingness to help and high responsibility deserve the most sincere respect. Behind every working day there are dozens of consultations, examinations, decisions made and human stories. That is why your work is an integral part of the life of the university and an important contribution to the well-being of our entire community.
Today medicine faces new challenges. The development of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, genetics, digital diagnostic systems and personalized medicine is changing the understanding of the capabilities of modern science. However, at the center of all these changes there is still a person - a doctor, medical worker, scientist, teacher.
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has repeatedly emphasized that the health of the nation is the most important state priority. Therefore, supporting the medical community, developing medical science and training qualified specialists remain the country’s most important tasks.
