The scientific internship of Shakarim University teachers in China is a new milestone in international cooperation
Within the framework of international cooperation between Shakarim University and North-West University of Agriculture and Forestry of China, senior lecturers of the "Agriculture" department A. Zakiyeva and Zh. Baigazakova completed a scientific internship in the People's Republic of China and gained experience.
During the training, scientists of Shakarim University got acquainted with the main research areas of the North-West University of Agriculture and Forestry and paid attention to modern technologies and innovative solutions in the field of agriculture. In particular, advanced methods of wheat selection and seed breeding, efficient management systems of agricultural resources, best practices of intensive horticulture, as well as complex systems of plant protection and ways of using innovative drugs were widely considered.
Besides, within the framework of the business trip, teachers got acquainted with the project of Ankan University to create an engineering center for the development of industry in cooperation with Central Asian countries. This project is an important initiative aimed at the development of agriculture and production. Within the framework of this project, possibilities of joint scientific research activities using mulberry tree cultivation technologies in the direction of "Sericulture and silk production" were discussed.
At present, Shakarim University has received the first results of scientific research in the direction of growing mulberry tree seeds. In the course of the study, seed germination indicators were determined and initial analysis was carried out. This project is implemented on the basis of a contract and includes experimental and laboratory works. Today, systematic work is being carried out in the university laboratory in the direction of improving seed quality, creating favorable conditions for plant growth, and improving agrotechnical methods.
This initiative is aimed at improving the professional competence of the students in the field of forest seed production and forestry. In this direction, students are improving their practical skills by combining their theoretical knowledge with experience and directly participating in scientific research. The results of the project are expected to have a positive impact on the development of the ecological and scientific potential of the region.
Besides, one of the important directions of the partnership between Shakarim University and the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry of the People's Republic of China is a new joint project with the College of Landscape Architecture and Design. The project aims to preserve and increase the regional flora, as well as to turn the university territory into an attractive vacation spot for students and city residents. Research on mulberry tree continues in this direction.
Scientific internship not only improves the professional qualifications of teachers, but also contributes to the development of the agricultural sector of Abay region, to the implementation of joint scientific projects in the way of training competitive personnel. The experience of scientists during the business trip will be included in the educational process and research work in the future.
