Ways to increase the competitiveness of scientific journals were discussed

An important meeting for the development of scientific publications was held at Shakarim University. Editors of scientific journals of the university and members of the editorial board gathered and held a seminar on "Strategic development of scientific publications".

Representative of the National State Scientific and Technical Expertise Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Kainbayev, participated in the seminar and gave an in-depth report on the modern requirements for the development of scientific journals, the possibilities of the Kazakh scientific citation database, and the digitalization of scientific processes.

During the meeting, ways to increase the competitiveness of scientific journals were discussed in detail. The participants shared their thoughts on the directions of qualitative formation of the authorship, strengthening of international cooperation, increasing the participation of foreign scientists and strengthening the scientific influence of published articles. Also, special attention was paid to issues of digitalization of editorial processes, implementation of principles of open science and provision of wide distribution of scientific results in the world information space.

As part of the event, the issues of submitting research projects to grant funding contests were also discussed. Nursultan Almasuly shared valuable information about the procedure for organizing scientific and technical expertise, the application evaluation process, and common mistakes made during the preparation of project documentation.
