Cooperation of brotherly countries in the field of education will be strengthened

A meeting with the Deputy Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in Kazakhstan, Ali Kurt, was held at Shakarim University. During the meeting with the university management, the parties discussed issues of cooperation development in the fields of education, culture and science.

During the meeting, the rector of the university, Duman Orynbekov, thanked the TİKA organization for its support in opening a Turkish language lecture hall at Shakarim University. The Rector noted that this initiative is one of the important projects aimed at strengthening cultural and educational ties between the two countries.

"We believe that this is one of our first joint projects. As fraternal peoples, we believe that projects aimed at recognizing each other's culture, developing our language, and preserving our common values ​​will continue in the future," he said.

In turn, Deputy Coordinator of TİKA Organization in Kazakhstan, Ali Kurt noted that Kazakhstan is a country of special importance for Turkey.

"Our main goal is always to implement projects aimed at strengthening the partnership between brotherly peoples, increasing our cooperation, for which Kazakhstan is considered our homeland," he said.

Also, Ali Kurt shared information about Turkey's international education programs. According to him, the "Türkiye Bursları" ("Turkey Grants") program implemented by Turkey offers state education grants for foreign students.

"In the future, we are ready to support as much as we can in the direction of exchange of experience with your universities, expansion of academic contacts and implementation of new projects. There is a high demand for Turkish programs from Kazakhstan. Therefore, special attention is being paid to increase the number of grants allocated to Kazakhstan," said Ali Kurt.

Also, he said that in the future specialists of the "Turkey Grants" program will come to Shakarim University to introduce the conditions and opportunities of the program to students. He noted that such meetings not only pave the way for students to participate in international educational programs, but also contribute to the promotion of Shakarim University's educational opportunities for foreign students in Turkey.

During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovations Erasyl Dulatbay made several proposals aimed at developing bilateral partnership. He noted that there is an opportunity to continue work in the direction of teaching the Turkish language at the university, as well as to establish scientific cooperation in the fields of history and archeology.

It should be noted that TİKA is a state organization that organizes international humanitarian and technical assistance through the representative offices of the Republic of Turkey abroad. The agency operates in many areas, such as restoration, health care, education, agriculture and animal husbandry, as well as development of administrative and civil infrastructure.

Today, TİKA implements projects in about 150 countries, including Central Asia, the Balkans, Africa, East Asia and Latin America. Along with the central administration, the Agency has 61 program coordination offices located in 59 countries. Through these offices, the organization implements various socio-economic and educational projects on a wide geographical scale.

This meeting between Shakarim University and TİKA can be said to be one of the important steps towards further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, science and culture.
