Father is the backbone of the family: the role of fathers was glorified at the regional forum
Family is one of the main values that determine the strength of society. And the father's place is special in the integrity and educational potential of that family. In order to discuss relevant issues in this direction, to strengthen the institution of the family and glorify paternal responsibility, a regional forum called "Father's morality is a life lesson" was organized in Abay region with the participation of representatives of state bodies, members of public organizations, experts, teachers and active fathers.
At the forum held at Shakarim University, the participants exchanged opinions on changes in family values in modern society, parents' responsibility in education, prevention of social problems among young people, and the role of father as a role model. The event was held in the format of a plenary session and thematic discussion areas.
Arman Zhemagulov, deputy head of the internal policy department of Abay region, who opened the forum, noted the importance of the upcoming "Father's Day" and emphasized the special role of the family in raising children.
– The head of state always pays special attention to the preservation and development of the family institution, as well as to the education of the young generation. Conscious generation is one of the strong foundations of the state. At the same time, fathers have a special responsibility. The main goal of today's forum is not only to honor fathers, but also to strengthen and develop the family institution, as well as to discuss current issues related to youth education. During the forum, we will exchange opinions and consider the most important issues related to the relationship between fathers and children,- said Arman Zhemagulov.
Member of the National Commission for Women's Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aigerim Sarsenbaeva spoke about the importance of paternal responsibility in creating a fair and safe society and the personal responsibility of each parent.
– Fathers' forum is held every year in all regions of the country and has become a good tradition. In this forum, we discuss the role of fathers in the fight against the negative phenomena of modern society, such as ludomania, drug addiction, and domestic violence. A modern father is not just the head of the family, he is a conscious parent who directly influences the upbringing of children. There are enough examples of the positive results of such a model in the society, said Aigerim Sarsenbaeva.
For his part, candidate of historical sciences, professor Aman Rakhmetullin drew attention to the historical significance of the family as the main institution in society and the responsibility of parents in raising the future generation.
– Historically, the family institution has been one of the most important institutions in any society. Without the family, society cannot develop, because the family is an environment that guides education and the future. Our future depends directly on the family. Some fathers think: "My children are fed, clothed, and have housing, so I am doing everything for the family." This is not entirely true. All this is a father's duty. Education is also a father's responsibility, and this applies not only to boys, but also to girls. Manifestations of ludomania, cyberbullying and cruelty can sometimes be the result of gaps in parenting. This is an important issue that needs to be discussed as a society,- said Aman Rakhmetullin.
After the plenary part, the forum participants continued their work in the thematic areas and discussed new ways and practices of family education. In particular, the problems of preventing addiction among teenagers, strengthening the active role of the father in the family and preserving traditional family values were widely discussed.
Such dialogue forums were evaluated as an important social mechanism that glorifies family values and contributes to the formation of a responsible fatherhood culture.
