A mobile meeting of the Scientific Council of Shakarim University was held in Abay district
According to the task of developing a comprehensive plan aimed at the development of science entitled "Strong regional science - a powerful region" at a meeting with young scientists on May 18, the mayor of Abay region, Berik Valiuli, held a field meeting of the Scientific Council of Shakarim University in Karaul village of Abay region.
Members of the Scientific Council, heads of agricultural holdings of Abai district took part in the important meeting aimed at strengthening the connection between regional science and industry.
A special exhibition presenting the advanced projects and achievements of Shakarim University combining science and innovation was organized as part of the mobile meeting, and it was solemnly opened with a congratulatory speech by Abai district akim Smagulov Meirzhan Serikbosynuly.
During the meeting, an important document strengthening mutual cooperation between Abay district and Shakarim University was signed - Memorandum. The foundation of partnership between the two parties was first laid in 2008. Today's meeting was filled with new content as a legal continuation of that strong connection and historical continuity, and defined a new milestone of bilateral cooperation.
At the official opening of the Scientific Council, the Chairman of the Board of Shakarim University - Rector Orynbekov Duman Rymgaliuly presented awards to the akim of Abai district and representatives of a number of farms. In addition, 15 "Golden Sign" candidates in Abay district were presented with "Shakarim Education Grant" certificates, and future students were supported. In 2024, the certificate was presented to 224 "Golden Sign" candidates in the region, in 2025 - 363, and this year - 434 graduates.
Shakarim University as a fundamental scientific and innovative center in the region, strengthening the golden bridge between science and industry, successfully continues its systematic work in the direction of deepening interaction with the real sector of the economy.
Shakarim University, which is considered to be a meeting place of knowledge and skills, deep research and innovation, implements modern scientific initiatives that give impetus to the socio-economic development of the region and effectively combines advanced projects serving the welfare of the country with production. Combining the achievements of science with practice, the educational institution is becoming a catalyst for important initiatives that pave the way for new milestones in regional development.
During the meeting, presentations were made by Board member - vice-rector for science Zhanar Kalibekovyna and Board member - vice-rector for internationalization and innovation Erasyl Dulatbay on the topic "Regional science: technologies, research, development".
Also, director of "Kaskabulak" LLP Askar Mukataev shared his experience during his business trip to Australia. Current issues in the field of agriculture were also considered on the agenda. Akhmetova Balnur Serikvna, head of the department of agriculture, candidate of agricultural sciences, made a presentation on "Modern technologies in sheep farming: effective solutions for the farmer". At the end of the event, the draft resolution of the Scientific Council was thoroughly discussed, and important decisions aimed at the development of regional science were made.
This content exchange, aimed at increasing the scientific potential of the region, will raise the interaction of science, education and production spheres to a new level and give a new impetus to the development of the region. As an environment combining education and innovation, Shakarim University will continue to be at the beginning of strategically important initiatives that contribute to the development of regional science, increase the intellectual potential of the young generation, as well as socio-economic development.
