International scientific partnership: a new scientific project was signed

Shakarim University has raised international scientific cooperation to a new level. The university signed an agreement on the implementation of a new research project in cooperation with Yerevan State University in Armenia and Tokyo Agricultural University in Japan within the framework of the International Scientific and Technical Center Program.

The project "Biochemical transformation of agricultural waste into renewable hydrogen" is aimed at the development of environmentally friendly energy sources. The main idea of the project is to utilize agricultural waste and produce hydrogen from it. This not only reduces the problem of waste, but also allows the development of alternative energy sources.

In the course of research, scientists are improving pre-treatment of biomass and studying microbiological methods of hydrogen production. In addition, adaptation of the obtained results to use at the production level is also provided.

Shakarim University actively participates in the project and conducts research of agro-industrial waste in Kazakhstan, development of methods of their processing and biochemical analysis. All research is conducted in modern scientific laboratories of the university.

This project will be financed by Japan with 250 thousand US dollars and will be implemented within 3 years. This agreement strengthens international cooperation in the field of science and education and opens new opportunities for professional development of young specialists.
