The Rector of Shakarim University familiarized himself with the work of the admissions committee
The rector of Shakarim University, Duman Orynbekov, familiarized himself with the work of the admissions committee in connection with the start of the admissions campaign for the 2026-2027 academic year. During the meeting, the quality of service provided to applicants, the effectiveness of digital systems and the organization of the admission process were discussed.
This year, the university is planning to accept applicants for 116 educational programs. The admission campaign is organized in a convenient and open format for students.
According to Dinara Ospanova, Executive Secretary of the Shakarim University Admissions Committee, educational programs at the university are implemented in engineering, pedagogical and creative directions. According to this, in order to provide quality advice to the applicants, secretaries responsible for each area have been appointed.
Modern digital solutions are used in the reception process. Registering in the queue for receiving documents and providing information is carried out through the Platonus system. In addition, volunteer students were also involved to guide applicants and provide necessary information.
Currently, the university is accepting applications for creative education programs. Applications for creative exams will be accepted from June 20 to July 7. 11 applicants have applied for the creative exam since the admission commission started its work.
Applications for participation in the competition for awarding state educational grants will be accepted from July 13 to 20. This period is considered an important time for entrants to determine the choice of profession and the trajectory of future education.
At the same time, Shakarim Higher College admissions are being held in the building of the admissions committee this year. Applicants for 14 educational programs are admitted to the college.
Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, new formats have been introduced to ensure the continuity of education for students. In particular, the "2+2" program (2 years of Shakarim Higher College + 2 years of Shakarim University), as well as the "3+2" program for technical specialties (3 years of Shakarim Higher College + 2 years of Shakarim University) was launched, which allows for higher education after college.
The "3+2" program (3 years of Shakarim Higher College + 2 years of Shakarim University) for 11th grade graduates, and the "4+2" program (4 years of Shakarim Higher College + 2 years of Shakarim University) for 9th grade applicants is provided.
