Congratulations from the rector of Shakarim University on the Day of the Capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Dear teachers, staff, students, graduates of Shakarim University!

I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the Capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan!

There are cities that become administrative centers, cities that determine the economic development of the country. And there are cities that become symbols of an entire era.

This is exactly what Astana has become for Kazakhstan.

In a relatively short historical period, it has become not only the political heart of the state, but also the space where strategic decisions are born that determine the future of our country. Here new ideas are formed, the most important government decisions are made, modern universities, research centers, innovative industries and international cooperation platforms are created.

The current Capital Day is given special symbolism by the fact that it takes place at a time when Kazakhstan is entering a new stage of its development. After the national referendum, the practical implementation of the updated Constitution begins, and with it, a new model of public administration based on responsibility, openness, quality of institutions and public trust.

Any transformations do not start with documents. They start with people.

That is why today a special responsibility falls on the education system, science and universities, where a generation of specialists, researchers, engineers, doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs and managers are being formed who will determine the competitiveness of Kazakhstan in the coming decades.

For Shakarim University, this is not just a national agenda. This is daily work to develop science, introduce technology, train in-demand specialists, strengthen international cooperation and participate in solving specific problems of the Abay region. We are convinced: strong regions create a strong Kazakhstan, and strong universities become one of the main factors of its sustainable development.

Let Astana continue to remain a city of great opportunities, bold decisions and confident movement forward. And I wish all of us good health, prosperity, new professional achievements, inspiration and confidence that everyone’s knowledge, work and responsibility become part of the future of our country.
