Shakarim's name is in the memory of generations
Today is the day of the death of the great Kazakh thinker, poet, philosopher, historian, composer Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly. 95 years ago, on October 2, 1931, the Field Sage was a victim of political persecution and died in a massacre. No matter how many years have passed, Shakarim's name and spiritual heritage have not faded from the people's memory. On the contrary, his thoughts about man, dignity, conscience, knowledge and virtue are becoming more meaningful as time goes by.
To commemorate the great person, Shakarim University staff, students and students laid flowers on the monument of the great poet in the courtyard of the main building and bowed to the spirit of Shakarim with a minute of silence.
In connection with the visit of the rector of the university, Duman Orynbekov, the Chief of Staff Maksat Karibayev spoke at the meeting and emphasized the importance of Shakarim's legacy in the education of the young generation. From this point of view, the poet's heritage is of special importance in the process of education and upbringing," said Maksat Serikuly.
The Scientific Center of Shakarim Studies of the university is conducting systematic work in the direction of studying and promoting the spiritual heritage of Shakarim. The activity of the center is not limited to the study of the poet's life and work, but is aimed at the comprehensive study of his worldview, philosophical thoughts, literary and cultural heritage.
During the event, the head of the Shakarimtanu research center, Turdykul Shanbai, focused on the work being done at the university in the direction of glorifying the name of the great thinker, studying his spiritual heritage and widely promoting it. One of them is the "Shakarim" Kazakh-Chinese cultural research center, which was opened a year ago at Xi'an Jiaotong University of China. Because the issues of conscience, humanity, justice, education and responsibility raised by the poet are seen from a new angle with the passage of time"- says Turdykul Kasenuly.
During the event, students read the poet's poems and conveyed Shakarim's educational thoughts based on humanity and conscience.
At the same time, it is appropriate to mention that the university is also undergoing renovation of the Shakarim Museum. The museum, which will be renewed and given a new look, will become a spiritual and enlightening space, where the life and work of the poet will be more deeply known through modern methods.
Shakarim's legacy is a spiritual orientation that encourages today's generation to think and define a human path. And researching, preserving and passing it on to the next generation is the common duty not only of the university named after Shakarim, but of the entire nation.
