Let's participate in the reading marathon together!

At Shakarim University, students and students of Shakarim High School were informed about the republican reading marathon "Book Reading Nation". During the meeting, participants were introduced to the purpose and requirements of the marathon, and were given specific instructions on the procedure for registering and participating in the project.

A special exhibition of books recommended for reading within the marathon was organized, and works of high content and educational value were presented to the attention of the participants. The book exhibition allowed the readers to familiarize themselves with the list of books.

The book-reading nation project is aimed at creating a sustainable culture of reading books in society, developing the critical and analytical thinking skills of young people, and glorifying books as an important source of knowledge and spiritual development. During the six-month project, each participant must read 15 books. The reading list includes works suitable for different ages, with high content and educational value.

The main goal of the marathon is not only to increase the number of books in a certain period of time, but to make reading a habit of everyday life. Regular interaction with books expands a person's worldview, strengthens thinking, and opens the way to new ideas.

During the event, university librarian Aray Kazgasim introduced to first-year students how to effectively use library services. Students got acquainted with the procedure for registering in the library, learned how to search and use the necessary literature in the electronic library and electronic catalog.

Increasing interest in books is not a one-day campaign, but begins with the formation of a permanent habit. And the "Book-Reading Nation" marathon is a good opportunity to form that habit.
