ChatGPT EDU - digital teaching assistant

On September 29, 2026, at Shakarim University, as part of the international forum AI & Digital Bridge 2026 taking place in Kazakhstan, a practical workshop was held for faculty members of departments on the topic “ChatGPT - digital teaching assistant.”

The purpose of the event is to introduce teachers to the capabilities of ChatGPT EDU, demonstrate ways of effective and responsible use of artificial intelligence tools in educational process, as well as contribute to the development of their digital competencies.

During the workshop, participants, under the guidance of the teacher of the Department of Automation and Information Technologies Tursynkhan Sayataly, became familiar with the ways of developing lecture materials, presentation structures, practical tasks and test questions using ChatGPT. In addition, practical examples of editing scientific and methodological texts, systematizing information, performing translations and drawing up effective queries (prompts) were presented.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of maintaining academic integrity when using artificial intelligence, protecting personal data, verifying the accuracy of information received and complying with copyright requirements.

In the practical part, the participants completed specific tasks on the ChatGPT platform, received answers to their questions and exchanged experiences.

Following the results During the event, it was noted that artificial intelligence does not replace the teacher, but is an effective digital tool that helps save time, optimize daily work and improve the content of education.

Carrying out such practical events helps to increase the digital literacy of university employees and the systematic implementation of modern technologies in the educational process.
