Tribute to Excellence: Shakarim-Abai Bridge of Knowledge
For the purpose of encouraging students' academic achievements, increasing their desire for education and broadening their spiritual and cultural worldview, a historical and educational trip entitled "The best IGPA is a great opportunity: Shakarim-Abai knowledge bridge" was organized from June 15-19, 2026.
Within the framework of the project, the TOP-45 best students of the university, who showed high results in the areas of study, science, sports and public service and were selected according to the indicators of integrated GPA (IGPA), were awarded and had the opportunity to participate in a special educational trip.
The main purpose of the visit was to expand the historical and cultural knowledge of young people, to form ecological culture, to increase the sense of respect for the native nature, to glorify national values and to develop students' interest in the cultural environment.
Within the visit program, the best students of Shakarim University got acquainted with the educational and scientific potential of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai. This meeting allowed the students to get acquainted with the experiences in the higher education space and expand their professional orientation.
Besides, the participants visited the historical and cultural places of Almaty and got acquainted with the tourist and cultural potential of the region. During the educational trip, students visited the Museum of Folk Musical Instruments named after Ikhilas, the Dinmuhamed Konaev Museum and the Almaty Museum of Arts (Almaty Museum of Modern Art), were saturated with the features of the national heritage and modern art space, and looked deeper into the continuity of the country's history and cultural development.
He visited Sharyn gorge and Kulsai lakes, which are considered to be unique masterpieces of nature, and saw with his own eyes the peculiarities of natural wealth and picturesque landscapes of Kazakhstan. This trip contributed to the formation of environmental culture of students, glorification of the values of nature protection and increased respect for the nature of the native land.
Also, the participants visited the Koktobe recreation area and got acquainted with the picturesque appearance of the city of Almaty. This trip, combining knowledge and experience, allowed students to expand their spiritual horizons, increase their interest in the cultural environment, and strengthen patriotic values.
The project "Top IGPA - Great Opportunity: Shakarim-Abai Knowledge Bridge" is an important initiative aimed at encouraging students who have achieved excellent results, as well as their personal development, expanding their worldview and opening new educational horizons.
Shakarim University will continue such educational projects in the future to support the success of students and contribute to their comprehensive development.
