"Nauryz Kuiz" where national tradition and knowledge meet
Holiday activities of the "Nauryznama" decade, which are held within the framework of the "Digital Nauryz - 2026" project, continue at Shakarim University. Today, on the occasion of the "Culture and National Traditions" day within the framework of ten days, an intellectual competition "Nauryz Kuiz" was organized among students.
The educational and informative event was organized by the Department of Food Technology, Department of Bioengineering Systems, Department of Technical Physics and Thermal Energy, Department of Chemistry and Ecology, and the Student Parliament. A total of 8 teams participated in the competition. The game was aimed at determining the level of knowledge, ingenuity and team unity of the participants. In addition, the players got acquainted with new information about the traditions and customs of our people, which have been preserved to this day and have become forgotten over time.
It should be noted that this year the initiative to celebrate Nauryz holiday in digital format has been taken. On this occasion, the Nauryznama decade, organized at Shakarim University, aims to glorify national culture as a precious treasure that defines the spiritual wealth and identity of our nation.
Araylim Orazgalieva, the head of the Center for Social Support and Development of Youth, who opened the event, wished success to the participants and emphasized the importance of national values.
– Our traditions and customs continue from generation to generation, defining the unity and wisdom of our people. Today's "Nauryz Kuiz" game is a vivid proof of that. We believe that our national values will be revived thanks to you, and the spirit and love for the country will be formed in the younger generation,- he said.
The intellectual competition consisted of several stages. Each stage, such as "Successful step", "Altybakan", "Spring calls", "Revived tradition", "Translation", "Alsy" was distinguished by tasks of different levels. The participants solved riddles, answered questions related to traditions, performed tasks involving national games, songs and tunes, as well as movie themes.
According to the results of the competitive and interesting "Nauryz Kuiz" game, the "Ay, bag!" of the STEM-educational higher school team was recognized as the winner. The 2nd place team "Chyn" (High School of Sports and Natural Sciences), the 3rd place "Eternal Teachers" team (High School of Education) will be taken.
The winning teams received special awards.
