Congratulations from the rector of Shakarim University on the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Dear colleagues, dear students!

On June 4, we, Kazakhstanis, honor the state symbols of our country: Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem - official attributes approved by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They contain the deep essence of our statehood, an expression of the independent spirit and strategic vector of the country’s development, which the Head of State K. Tokayev never tires of reminding.

There are millions of us! And we are united around common values: freedom, peace, justice and the desire for development. In the shade of the Flag, the element of the Coat of Arms, the note of the Anthem, there is the greatest historical continuity, the wisdom of generations, the strength of national identity.

For every student, teacher, and employee, Shakarim University has become a landmark in the context of their country: whose symbols form a sense of belonging to great challenges and great history. This is a reminder that we study, work, create for the good of the Motherland, and our energy, knowledge and initiative become part of its sustainable future.

The consonance of state symbols sounds especially significant here, in the land of Abai and Shakarim, where the concepts of honor, responsibility to society, respect for the past and the desire for progress have always been the basis of human dignity.

Shakarim University, as the intellectual center of the Abay region, contributes to strengthening the very meanings that symbolize our Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem. The university as a whole, each of you, is confirmation that the spirit of independent Kazakhstan lives in action.

May pride for the country remain in your hearts, and may each of us remain those who carry the banner of our victories not only in their hands, but also in thoughts, deeds, and dreams.
