The value of a village is the core of national education
At Shakarim University, on the occasion of May 15 - International Family Day, a meaningful and educational lesson was held on the topic "Together with me to the future: the precious heritage of my family". Students of "Preschool education" and "Pedagogy of primary education" educational programs took part in the event.
The main goal of the educational lesson is to make young people deeply aware of the importance of family values, to help them determine their inner resources and to explain the spiritual and moral qualities they will need in their future life. At the same time, it was intended to create an opportunity for the participants to look into their own souls and differentiate the upbringing and life positions they received from their families.
The methods of art therapy and metaphorical associative maps (MAK) were used during the event. These methods contributed to the discovery of inner feelings of students, to bring out the thoughts and emotions that were kept in the back of the mind. The participants were especially impressed by the exercises aimed at alleviating the grievances that have been stored in the heart since childhood and purifying the soul. With the help of cards, MAK was able to recall the positive memories of young people's lives and feel the warmth and kindness of their family again.
One of the important parts of the event was the task of drawing the image of "Shanyrak". Through this, the participants deeply understood the Kazakh people's respect for the family, the meaning of national education and the sacred concept of family. Through their creations, students depicted their attitude towards the future family and understood the importance of cherishing national values.
- Through such events, young people learn to appreciate the spiritual values of their family. If art therapy helps to open the inner world of a person, MAK cards revive good memories and contribute to looking at the future with confidence. Our goal is to guide young people to be able to preserve Kazakh upbringing and family values in their future life without being separated from their roots, - says Kymbat Nurmukhambetova, Head of the Psychological Support Service.
The educational event made a special impression on the students and allowed them to understand the place and importance of the family in human life. Because the family is the first school that forms the basis for the formation of personality, and the most sacred environment that preserves national values.
