Congratulations from the rector of Shakarim University Duman Orynbekov on Defender of the Fatherland Day
Dear students, colleagues, teachers, staff,!
May 7 - Defender of the Fatherland Day. This date is much broader than a professional holiday for the military.
It is about a person who guards the country - its security, sustainability, future.
We live in peacetime. We work, teach, study, make plans.
And we rarely think about the price at which this everyday life is ensured - calm streets, open classrooms, the opportunity to do our own thing.
Behind this lies the work and responsibility of those who serve.
Today the world is becoming more complex and tense. Rules are changing, competition is increasing, and the cost of solutions is rising. Under these conditions, the concept of protection takes on a broader meaning. This is not just about protecting borders. We are talking about protecting principles, professional position, responsibility for one’s business. About the ability to remain resilient and make decisions in difficult conditions.
Each of us bears this function to a certain extent in our work.
Teacher - through knowledge and education. Researcher - through searching for solutions. Student - through choosing a path and willingness to take responsibility for it.
But with all the diversity of roles, there is something that unites everyone. We have one country - the Republic of Kazakhstan. And its sustainability consists of the work of each of us.
But on this day we must express respect to those who have chosen service as their life’s work.
For those for whom the concepts of duty, oath and responsibility are not words, but daily reality.
To those who serve regardless of time, weather conditions and personal circumstances.
To those who make decisions on which the safety of people and the stability of the country depend.
These are officers and soldiers, law enforcement officers, veterans who have passed their own path and continue to pass on their experience.
Their work is rarely seen, but it is precisely what provides the stability that we take for granted.
It is thanks to these people that we have the opportunity to live, work, teach and study in a calm environment.
And therefore, immense respect for them is an understanding of the price of peace, a willingness to hold our position, responsibility for how we work and what we leave behind.
Happy Defender of the Fatherland Day!
With respect, Duman Orynbekov
