Artificial intelligence capabilities at Shakarim University
Currently, the world education space is experiencing a period of intensive digital transformation. In particular, artificial intelligence technologies have penetrated deeply into the higher education system and are raising the teaching process to a new qualitative level. Kazakhstan was not left out of this process, and through the national AI-Sana program implemented by the head of the state, it began to systematically introduce advanced technologies in the field of education and science.
The main goal of the AI-Sana program is to improve the quality of education, strengthen the scientific potential and create a modern digital environment through the effective use of artificial intelligence. This initiative is not only a technological project, but a strategic step towards the intellectual future of our country.
As part of this large-scale initiative, Shakarim Student AI Advisor is an artificial intelligence agent recently launched at Shakarim University. This is an intelligent digital assistant designed to analyze the academic situation of students and identify their potential risks in the learning process at an early stage.
The main feature of the system is that it not only monitors the progress of the student, but also comprehensively evaluates his academic trajectory. In particular, the AI-assistant can determine the risk of academic debt for each subject, the probability of a drop in GPA at the end of the semester, the risk of credit deficiency, and the impact of absenteeism on progress.
For example, if a student often misses classes in a certain subject, does not complete assignments on time, or shows poor results in midterms, the system immediately marks this as a risk factor. As a result, the student is offered a special "traffic light" system in an understandable format: green means low risk, yellow means medium risk, and red means high risk.
The most important thing is that the system not only warns about the danger, but also explains its real reasons. For example, factors such as low grades, absenteeism, lack of attempts to complete tasks or low results in control work are distinguished. In addition, the AI-assistant offers the student a specific plan of action: get advice from the teacher, perform additional tasks, use the opportunity to resubmit, make up missed classes or restore the learning pace.
What should be emphasized here is that the system does not make any automatic decisions and does not intervene in the evaluation process. The task of the AI-assistant is to guide the student, predict risks and provide timely support. That is, he acts as a digital consultant and a reliable assistant of the student during his studies.
Shakarim Student AI Advisor agent is one of the university's concrete steps towards forming an innovative educational ecosystem. Such technologies not only increase the responsibility of students, but also allow them to effectively manage their personal learning trajectory.
Today, artificial intelligence is becoming not only a technological innovation, but also an important tool that changes the culture of education. Such projects, which are being implemented at Shakarim University, show that the higher education system is taking a bold step into the future.
