A seminar dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Professor Mukhit Yesenuly Belgibaev was held at Shakarim University
Shakarim University hosted a city seminar dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Mukhit Yesenuly Belgibaev, an outstanding scientist, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, on the topic “Modern technologies for teaching geography and effective writing of scientific projects.”
Mukhit Yesenuly Belgibaev is one of the country's leading experts in the field of research on soil protection from wind erosion. In the field of physical geography, he studied the causes and laws of development of phenomena associated with the action of wind in nature, and scientifically proved their influence on the environment and the national economy. On the initiative of the scientist, a new direction was introduced into the science of geography - eology. This direction is considered one of the most important scientific discoveries that opened the way to an in-depth study of aeolian processes.
At the opening of the seminar, Shakarim University rector Duman Orynbekov wished success to the participants and congratulated the hero of the day. In his speech, he noted the scientist’s great contribution to the development of geographical science in our country.
"Mukhit Yesenuly is a man who deeply studied the nature of his native land and made a special contribution to the scientific direction. Being a great teacher, he raised many students and directed them towards the path of science. His works clearly reflect the idea of not only understanding the nature of their native land, but also increasing the love of the younger generation for their native land, encouraging them to scientific research. The scientist’s dedication to science is an example for today’s generation,” said the rector.
On the occasion of the anniversary, by decision of the Academic Council of the University, Mukhit Yesenuly Belgibaev was awarded the title “Honorary Professor of Shakarim University” and awarded a special medal.
During the seminar, modern methods of teaching geography and methods for effectively writing research projects were discussed. The meeting was attended by teachers from city schools, young scientists and representatives of the education sector, and a platform was formed for the exchange of experience.
