The teaching of Kazakh fine art was promoted
Creative workshop "In the footsteps of Shokan" was organized by Shakarim University and Abay Regional Union of Designers. The training event connected the history of Kazakh fine art and the current development process, and gave creative impetus to young artists and designers.
Kamil Mullashev, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, cultural figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts and "Hanshan" Pedagogical Institute in the People's Republic of China, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Eurasian Designers, academician Toleugazy Baigaliev, excellence in the field of culture Gulmaral Tattibay, excellence in the field of culture Natalya Ligai, Prominent representatives of the field of art and design, such as the Chairman of the Board of the Union of Designers, art critic Manas Abdikarimov, took part.
The guests were introduced by Askar Kasymov, vice-rector for strategy and social development of the university, who emphasized the place of the legacy of the great Kazakh scientist, ethnographer, traveler and artist Shokan Ualikhanov in national culture and art. In his speech, the vice-rector noted that in the works of art historians, the beginning of the Kazakh graphic art is connected with the scientific and travel expeditions of Shokan Ualikhanov. About one hundred and fifty works and artistic heritage of the scientist are becoming an important core of scientific and cultural research even today.
A video about Kamil Mullashev's exhibition held in Florence, Italy in 2024 was presented to the attention of the participants within the educational seminar celebrating the national art and spiritual heritage. The main idea of the artist's works is the value and spirituality of human life. The master has more than a thousand paintings. The master of painting shared his thoughts on the deep nature of creativity and focused on the changes in modern world art. In his words:
"Nowadays, real hand-made works in world art are becoming less and less. In general, Kazakh art is rooted in national values. Art is a twin concept with human soul. I can't stop drawing. There is a principle that if only one percent of talent is given by nature, the rest can be achieved through continuous work and research. "Inspiration also comes through hard work," he emphasized the importance of perseverance in the creative path.
The master artist said that the ability to see beauty in art depends on the artist's inner world and search, and urged young people to think deeply and not to lose national color.
The main goal of the seminar-practicum is to create a platform for exchange of experience in the fields of visual arts, design, crafts and creative education, to improve the professional skills of young talents, as well as to widely promote national art and cultural values.
During the event, well-known artists and designers held master classes and organized practical demonstrations. The creative meeting took place in the format of a free exchange of opinions, and the questions of the youth were answered.
Manas Abdikarimov, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Designers, presented letters of thanks to the guests.
The educational meeting "In the footsteps of Shokan" increased the interest of young artists and designers in national art and gave a new impetus to their professional development.
Tomorrow, a creative plein air will be organized with the participation of fine art masters.
