We need innovative young personnel for public service
The head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in the Abay region, Ruslan Sharipov, held an important meeting with 4th year students of Shakarim University.
The event on the topic “Searching and attracting talent to the public sector” was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University Beimbet Daribaev, Director of the branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the region Abay Aset Abzhakov, Head of the Department of Internal State Audit in the region Abay Azamat Musabek, as well as graduates of Shakarim University working in the field of public service.
During the meeting, the students were explained in detail the meaning and importance of public service. It was noted that students studying under state orders at universities and having a GPA above 3.33 can be accepted into the public service at the level of rural and regional bodies without competition. This is an effective way to attract young people to actively participate in the development of the country.
In the Abay region, 33 university graduates have already been hired into the civil service under a simplified procedure and are contributing to the socio-economic development of the region. This year, 14 young specialists were officially appointed to the civil service and began their professional journey.
In addition, participation in the “School of Young Civil Servants” provides an opportunity for young people to develop their abilities, improve professional skills and become competitive in the labor market. This school is a great platform and an important step in public service.
The number of Shakarim University graduates interested in working in the public sector is growing every year. In the academic year 2023-2024, the number of such students was 29, and in the last academic year - 32. This is a clear indication of the university's success in preparing qualified and active specialists for the public sector.
The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has repeatedly emphasized the importance of this area, saying: “We must renew the civil service with the help of young personnel. This is an investment in the future of the country." The policy of the head of state to modernize public administration and attract youth to this area is an important basis for the sustainable development and prosperity of the country. Ultimately, the development of the state directly depends on the activity of young people, their professional competence and devotion to the Motherland.
