Cooperation between school and university is a step towards new quality

The educational space is constantly being updated, requiring new approaches and a culture of partnership. Shakarim University has taken an important step in this direction. Today, an extended meeting of the Academic Council of the University took place on the basis of the “School of the Future” of the IT school-lyceum No. 50 of the education department of the city of Semey, the Education Department of the Abay region. This format was not chosen by chance - it demonstrates a new model of close interaction between higher and secondary education, aimed at ensuring continuity of the educational process.

The meeting, along with members of the Academic Council of Shakarim University, was attended by representatives of the education department of the city of Semey, school directors and teachers. Everyone was united by a common goal - the professional development of future teachers, the development of modern educational practices and taking cooperation between school and university to a new level.

The work of the Academic Council was opened by the university rector, chairman of the council Duman Orynbekov, who especially emphasized the role of interaction between the university and the school in the modern education system.

“The school is the first laboratory of the future teacher. Every student who chooses to become a teacher must not only master the theory, but also feel the real rhythm of school life. Only then is a real teacher formed,” the rector noted in his speech.

During the meeting, three key areas were considered. Director of the Department of Academic Affairs D. M. Ospanova made a report on the topic “Partnership between school and university: preparing a professionally competent teacher,” presenting specific mechanisms for strengthening the professional training of future teachers. Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology B.K. Ospanova focused on the issues of personal development at the university through the practices of inclusive education and proposed new methods of working with children with special educational needs. In turn, the dean of the Higher School of STEM Education M. N. Satymbekov presented the possibilities of artificial intelligence in improving the system of lifelong education, using specific examples to show how modern technologies increase the efficiency of a teacher.

During the meeting, participants discussed the future of teacher education and the joint potential of the university and school, making a number of specific decisions aimed at improving the quality of education. In particular, initiatives were voiced to expand the network of basic partner schools together with the education department of the city of Semey, conduct seminars and trainings on inclusive pedagogy and artificial intelligence, and develop educational modules for children with special educational needs with their implementation starting from the next school year.

In order to improve the quality of education, it was also decided to hold an annual competition “Hope of Education” among students of pedagogical fields and to improve educational programs with the participation of school principals within the framework of the “Council of Employers.”

These initiatives are fully consistent with the strategic course of Shәkarim University. As Rector Duman Orynbekov emphasized, the main goal of the university is to train a new generation of teachers with practical skills and capable of combining modern technologies with inclusive thinking.

“A modern teacher is not only a bearer of knowledge, but also a creator of personality, a leading force that determines the intellectual future of society. That is why we are forming a new model of education, combining science and practice, technology and experience, theory and real life,” he noted.

The initiative of Shakarim University is becoming a new qualitative impetus in the modernization of the educational system of regional universities. The interaction between school and university is not just a professional partnership, but a reliable basis for the spiritual and intellectual development of society.

Thus, one of the leading educational institutions in the Abay region is strengthening the bridge between education and the future, demonstrating the need for a new look at educating the younger generation.
