Student's step to science: archaeological and ethnographic heritage of Semipalatinsk region

On October 21, a scientific and educational meeting was held at the Zhasstar coworking center organized by the "History and Archeology" research center and the "History" department. This event was organized on the eve of the Republic Day national holiday and was aimed at introducing students and young scientists to the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Semipalatinsk region.

The main goal of the meeting was to awaken the interest of the young generation in scientific research, to expand their historical knowledge and to widely promote the archaeological and ethnographic values of the Semipalatinsk region.

During the meeting, young people got in-depth information about the ancient towns, mounds and archeological excavations of Semipalatinsk, were saturated with new information about the ancient monuments and cultural heritage of the region. The importance of preserving and researching cultural heritage, as well as its role in modern society, was widely considered. Also, the main methods and directions of the science of archeology were discussed, and opinions were exchanged about what research archaeologists are currently conducting.

It is clear that such scientific and educational activities help to expand the horizons of students' knowledge and increase their enthusiasm and interest in scientific research. In the end, it opens the way to know their historical roots, to be useful to society through scientific research.

We believe that in the future, the "History and Archeology" scientific research center will regularly organize such educational and research meetings and will pay special attention to the development of the scientific potential of young people.
