Visit to Asyl Miras Center: experience, partnership and new opportunities

ASIL MIRAS support center for children with autism (autistic spectrum disorders) of the Abay Region Education Department celebrated its 2nd anniversary.

On this occasion, the delegation of Shakarim University visited the center and held an important meeting in the direction of strengthening partnership ties in the field of inclusive education.

Rector of Shakarim University Duman Orynbekov, deans of higher schools, heads of departments, teachers and university students took part in the event.

An excursion was organized for the purpose of familiarizing the members of the delegation with the activities of the center. A special psychological training was held for students, and a professional exchange of opinions was held with the specialists of the center.

University rector Duman Orynbekov, in his congratulatory speech, emphasized the need to develop inclusive education infrastructure due to the increase in the number of children with ASD, and presented gifts to the center.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on the organization of educational and industrial practice of students on the basis of the center, the development of a new educational program on special pedagogy, and the formation of joint training modules.

Shakarim University expressed its intention to expand research directions in the field of autism and continue cooperation on the development of inclusive education.
