The idea of Alash is in the space of knowledge
An important spiritual and educational event was held at Shakarim University as a logical continuation of Rector Duman Orynbekov's public report on the results of 2025. The meeting, organized under the theme "The turning point: A turning point in education and spirituality", introduced the university's updated complex of educational and scientific spaces to the public.
Representatives of the intelligentsia from different regions of the country, led by distinguished scientist, doctor of philological sciences, professor Tursyn Kudakeldiuly Zhurtbai, representatives of the publishing house "Kasym" from Karaganda, faculty and staff of the university took part in the meeting.
In the framework of the event, a number of important objects were presented. In particular, a special corner displaying products of the "Kasym" book publishing house, a resource and development center for inclusive education, as well as several modern lecture halls were put into use.
Rector Duman Orynbekov at the opening ceremony of the resource and development center for inclusive education:
"Yesterday, during the final report, we openly stated the principle of "people-oriented university". Inclusion is the clearest, most responsible expression of that position. These centers were created not for the report, but for the person, for the child and the family.
The next object, which defines the interdependence of modern infrastructure and science, was the presentation of 150-seat lecture hall #314. The renovated lecture hall has been completely renovated and equipped with a modern LED screen. In this space, the first results of the program-targeted scientific project "Comprehensive study of the spiritual heritage of Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly" won by university scientists were presented to the public.
A Turkish language lecture hall was opened as a bright manifestation of international academic cooperation. As a result of scientific cooperation between Shakarim University and Turkish scientists, this lecture hall, equipped with the support of TİKA organization, aims to develop a multilingual educational environment and strengthen international relations.
The culmination of the turning point in education and spirituality was the opening of the "Alashtanu" lecture hall named after the outstanding Alashologist, Professor Tursyn Kudakeldiuly Zhurtbai. This lecture hall was completely renovated and equipped with a modern material and technical base at the initiative of the scientist's students - young researchers.
"Beginning the beginning of the year with such good deeds and real joy is a sign of great good. The implementation of several important initiatives in one educational building in one day is a clear manifestation of the spirit of the university, respect for science, continuity between teacher and student. This is the result of unity and trust, good intentions and a common goal. True respect for the teacher, science, and education is shown through such concrete actions. The newly opened Alashtanu Lecture Hall named after Tursyn Zhurtbay is a bright symbol of that respect. This lecture hall started from the desire in the heart of the student, selfless reverence for the teacher. It was brought to life by the students of Tursyn Kudakeldiuly, today's young scientists, citizens who are becoming the scientific support of the university," said Duman Orynbekov.
Renovation of the auditorium of more than 250 square meters and providing it with modern equipment is the result of great work and great responsibility. Students of Tursyn Zhurtbay, who implemented this initiative, are today's young scientists who are becoming the scientific support of the university. Among them is "Mirjakyp Dulatuly". Wake up, Kazakh!" There is Ushkyn Saydirahman, who was a scientific consultant for the film, Zongar Karimkhan, who presents Kazakh literature and history in an infographic format in a new way, Yeldos Toktarbay, a member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, winner of the "Daryn" state youth award and the Young Scientist state scholarship. This is a clear example of the duty of discipleship, not in words, but in deeds.
Although the said lecture hall is named after one person, it should become a sacred spiritual space that will instill in thousands of students respect for science and serve the future of the young generation. The words of Magzhan Zhumabayev, a respected Alash scholar, "If the children of six Alash families meet, the place in the fourth is the teacher's" made an impression as if it had come true in real life at this moment.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the lecture hall, Tursyn Zhurtbay said:
"I believe that the opening lecture hall has achieved its goal if it helps to absorb the idea of Alash, awaken the sleeping hearts of the young generation, and raise their pride."
During the event, Tursyn Kudakeldiuly was draped with a cape and the "Shakarim" medal was placed on his chest. This ceremony can be said to be a spiritual celebration of the upcoming 75th anniversary of the scientist.
