Worshiping the spirit of Abay begins with purity

On the eve of Abay Kunanbayuly's birthday, a weekend was organized at Shakarim University as part of the republican environmental campaign "Clean Kazakhstan". Administrative staff of the university actively participated in the good initiative and contributed to the cleanliness of the city.

In the course of Saturday, landscaping works were carried out in the territory of the main building of the university. Employees weeded, loosened the roots of trees, watered flower beds and lawns.

During the event, the participants recited poems of the great poet and glorified his works full of love for nature, humanity and homeland. This good event clearly demonstrated not only the respect of the university team for Abai's legacy, but also that spirituality and compassion for the environment are interrelated values.

Cleanliness is not only the maintenance of the environment, it is a manifestation of culture and responsibility, sympathy for the native land. From this point of view, the Saturday held at Shakarim University turned into an educational event in harmony with the principles of hard work, punctuality and care for nature glorified by Abai.
