A fresh start: a new laboratory has started work
Today, Shakarim University has added another laboratory.
It is known that the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev focuses on the development of all spheres of domestic science. It was emphasized not only to be equal with other countries of the world, but also to aim to gradually become one of the leading countries with developed scientific potential.
"The only way to development is science. Humanity has achieved everything thanks to knowledge. From simple things to complex ideas, everything is a product of science. In fact, through education, we get to know the whole creation deeply. We expand the horizon of knowledge and reach new milestones. This is the most important mission of science" the words of the President are always relevant.
In this regard, Shakarim University is opening the way for new initiatives and implementing a number of projects in the direction of revitalizing the work of laboratories. One clear proof of this is the opening of the industrial waste recycling laboratory in the Shakarim Lab base building of the educational institution. This project is implemented within the program-targeted funding "Development of innovative technology for recycling of secondary resources such as metallurgical production wastes, oil refining and by-products of oil production".
Rector of the university, Duman Orynbekov, speaking at the opening ceremony of the new laboratory, introduced a number of major events about Shakarim University's scientific achievements.
"There is no doubt that as the head of state said, "Science is the intellectual power of the nation, and the scientist is the main driving force of the development of society."
The opening of the laboratory "Innovative technologies of industrial waste processing" within the framework of grant funding within the framework of the Science Decade is of great importance.
Today, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, more than 40 projects with a total amount of 5 billion tenge are planned. 70 percent of the projects have a real applied nature.
The total amount of financing of this project is 269 million tenge, of which 31 percent was directed to equipping the laboratory with the most modern equipment. This is a real investment aimed at systematically modernizing the scientific infrastructure of our university, a manifestation of the state's trust and support for science" - said Duman Rymgaliuly.
According to the Head of the Department of Chemistry and Ecology, Associate Professor Alfira Nurzhankyny, two goals of the project are being implemented together with the partner "Institute of Composite Materials" LLP as a secondary service.
"This year, from May 1 to July 31, 4 young scientists of the department will go to the North-West University of Agriculture and Forestry (Xian, China) for a scientific internship in order to fulfill the tasks of the project. Concluding my speech, our president said, "In recent years, we have been paying special attention to the development of national science. In five years, investment in the field of education increased fivefold. "We are planning to successfully complete our project and further commercialize it based on the words that the complex system of "university-research-innovation-commerce" is being established," says Alfira Sabitova.
It is noteworthy that this laboratory is equipped with modern and expensive equipment for conducting scientific research in the field of waste-free technologies.
The newly opened laboratory provides a great opportunity for Shakarim University researchers to engage in research.
