Surveyors and ecologists expand international scientific cooperation
Shakarim University took part in the XXII International Exhibition and Scientific Congress “Interexpo GEO-Siberia-2026”, organized by Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies.
One of the brightest presentations of the congress was the report of the senior lecturer of the Department of Construction and Geodesy Zarina Barankulovna Beksultanova at the International Conference “Cross-border cooperation between Russia and the CIS countries: the formation of a unified geoinformation support for a system of rational environmental management.”
In his informative speech on the topic “Predictive assessment of the fertility of agricultural lands in the Abay region using a digital platform”, modern approaches to the use of geographic information technologies and digital solutions for the rational use of land resources were presented. The presented work aroused the professional interest of the participants and emphasized the scientific potential of the university in the field of environmental and biotechnological research.
In addition, the director of Shakarim Lab, Alexey Nikolaevich Klivenko, acted as a speaker at the round table “Research and monitoring of natural resources and the state of the environment”, presenting a scientific report on the topic: “The use of polymer complexes of biopolymers for growing Scots pine.” This topic is especially relevant for the region in connection with the issues of restoration of the relict forest reserve and the need to introduce modern environmental technologies to preserve natural ecosystems.
The participation of university representatives in the international forum was an important step in strengthening scientific cooperation, exchange of experience and development of joint research between Kazakhstan and Russia.
