A scientist with a special place in science

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Kayim (Gabdulkayim) Mukhamedhanuly, a great scientist, outstanding literary researcher, poet, translator, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who founded the science of ecology, an international scientific-practical conference entitled "Scientific heritage and national spirituality of Kayim Mukhamedhanuly" was held in the main building of Shakarim University.

Even though there are many events taking place within the framework of the Science Decade, this conference was distinguished by the data from informative exchanges and valuable reports that show the noble nature and personality of the eminent scientist.

Dina Kayimkovyna, Degdar and Kanagat Muhamdekhanov, descendants of the scientist, also took part in the important meeting. Zhanzhigit Omarkhan, the head of the Abai Regional Department of Culture and Language Development, noted that a person of great standing has a special place in the history of Semipalatinsk. Ulan Bolatuly, the director of the Abay Museum, emphasized that this museum was founded in 1940 and worked tirelessly to expand the scope of its historical relics.

Head of office Maksat Karibayev conveyed the good wishes of the head of the university due to the fact that Shakarim University Rector Duman Orynbekov is on a business trip abroad.

"The main feature of today's gathering is not only the commemoration of the scientific heritage of Kayim Mukhamedhanuly, but I consider it to be reconsidered in the context of modern pedagogy, textology, literary studies, humanitarian sciences, and presentation of new perspectives and new directions.

The biography of Kayim Muhamedhanuly cannot be separated from the city of Semey. The entire conscious life of the scientist is closely connected with Shakarim University. The scientist taught at Shakarim University for almost fifty years, educated several generations of philological specialists, and established a deep school tradition of scientific studies. Collecting archive data, researching the heritage of apprentice poets, proving scientific conclusions - all this was realized in the scientific environment of Semipalatinsk.

The spiritual continuity formed by the scientific-pedagogical activity of Kayim Mukhamedhanuly is an instructive example, especially for today's young scientists. I believe that the self-sacrificing work of a scientist on the path of responsibility to the nation, restoration of historical justice is not only science of science, but also an unparalleled feat in the history of the Kazakh country.

Such scientific meetings have a special place for Shakarim University. "Our university will always support scientific initiatives that serve the spirituality of the nation, and will continue the research of the heritage of great personalities like Abay, Shakarim, Mukhtar, Kayim as one of the main directions," the rector said, wishing that this meeting would become the beginning of new ideas and new research.

There is no doubt that the video clip "Abai's Amanat Arkalaran", which was premiered at the opening of the curtain of the educational meeting, had a great impact. From the naming of the scientist here, the visual presentation of the historical data about the connection of the ancestors with the figures of Alash certainly captivated the souls of the gathered people. It can be seen that Akmaral Smagulova, candidate of philological sciences, head of the "Abai and National Spirituality" research center at Shakarim University, put a lot of effort into creating such an educational world.

Doctor of philological sciences, professor Arap Espenbetov, who spoke during the conference, spoke with deep emotion about the place of his teacher in Kazakh spirituality. Combining the memory of his teacher and his report, he said that instead of glorifying the scientific works of Kayim Muhamedhanuly, which play an important role in Kazakh literature, with known data, the time has come for young scholars in the direction of textology to get to know the rich legacy of the scientist on the way to the formation of the school of abayatology from a new angle through scientific research.

Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, PhD (international development of education), director of the public organization "Kayim Muhamedkhanov Center of Education and Culture" Dina Kayimkovyna, who came specially from Almaty, expressed her sincere gratitude to the management of Shakarim University, who paid tribute to her father, to celebrate the anniversary of the scientist, to celebrate the scientific and spiritual events at a high level in Astana, Almaty, to develop the national spirituality of the outstanding scientist, to lay the foundation of the study. He spoke about the difficulties he experienced on his way. Apart from that, he introduced published works about Kayim Mukhamedhanuly and his works, as well as books containing proverbs of the scientist.
